Elektroglider med vingespenn på 2,5 meter, som har både balanseror og flaps. Lav vekt på modellen bør kombineres med lav vekt på elektronikken, slik at man kan fly opp, og ved hjelp av termikk holde seg oppe så lenge som mulig. Modellen leveres uten elektronikk.
Cumulus 2.5M F5J/ALES with its beautiful X-tail and elegant, tapered leading edge wing is simply breath-taking to watch as it thermals almost out of sight at your favorite field. This plane is an incredibly well rounded, stable and predictable flyer, suitable for experienced beginners as well as advanced pilots. The synergy of low weight and strong structure is very unusual in a production sailplane and can only be achieved with careful attention to design and construction. The entire model is constructed using free-flight techniques. The wings are balsa sheeted foam core, tail parts full balsa built-up covered in transparent iron-on film. The fuselage is gel-coated fiberglass with carbon fiber tapered tail boom. Whole model is covered with Ultracote. All control surfaces are hinged with adhesive tape. This fully built sailplane needs only basic assembly and motor/radio installation. The two piece wing is easily removable for transport and storage. Each part is carefully hand-crafted with meticulous attention to detail.
