You can see how small it is, and it weighs just 7 grams without the case, so its perfect for park flyers. But this same receiver is powerful enough for giant-scale airplanes as well. Its the best of both worlds...small size AND full-range performance!With only one receiver unit, the R606FS can be installed without making any airframe modifications. Other 2.4GHz systems require a second receiver be mounted up to six inches away, and at a 90° angle. The competitions two-piece receiver means two additional connection points, doubling the potential for a problem. The R606FS uses rubber grommets to minimize stress on the antennas; the competitions doesnt, which can cause the antenna wire to become frayed. A "one-touch" Fail Safe systemThe 6EX 2.4GHzs Fail Safe is programmed right through the transmitter, just like on conventional systems. Other 2.4GHz radios require a complicated six-step process, along with a separate binding plug that can easily get lost.
